Where to go in the Holidays? Travel Guide

It’s a not so difficult an answer. People will generally have a fixed itinerary for the coming years regarding where they wish to go during the summer and winter months. It makes much sense for people to go to winter or colder places in the summer and vice versa. This is certainly true. So which are the places you should go to? India as a country has a very inviting nature for a slew of places. Unlike other countries you don’t need to move to another country to feel the chills of winter or feel the golden sand beaches in the summer.

During the summer, it’s always advisable to head towards beach areas or hill stations. Regions towards the north especially Delhi and Rajasthan have a close proximity towards Jammu and Kashmir. The east – regions like West Bengal have closer proximity towards the North-East. The South and West regions have closer proximity towards Goa, Kerala and many hill stations. Goa provides an added benefit during all the seasons. People generally do not travel to Goa in the monsoon but it’s recommended to go in the off-season due to prices going down to off-peak rates.

Hill stations offers another fascinating and interesting option if you haven’t yet considered it. The benefit one gets with a Hill Station visit is the cool atmosphere and the presence of hills in the vicinity. It provides an adventurous climb for trekking and nature enthusiasts. Besides trekking and rock climbing there are many things what one can do.

Some people prefer to go on an adventure trip. This is a must for nature enthusiasts and I don’t mean hill stations but the places to pick are nature reserves. Gujarat has Gir National Park; Mumbai has the Borivali National Park. But honestly let’s not take nature parks into consideration but rather Nature Reserves. It’s better to see animals and plant life in the open surroundings and natural habitats rather than seeing them caged. Bandipur Nature Reserve down south offers another spectacular experience for seeing a large number of animals. The safari is highly recommended.

Kerala offers another unique opportunity to experience the back waters in house boats. It’s a great destination for both family and honeymooners. There’s a lot to learn about the places in the country which speaks volumes in terms of wonders and experiences one will be able to carry for life. India offers unique opportunity to explore places one would always long to see.
One cannot compare India’s natural wonders with countries like Australia and New Zealand. But India does offer an accessible and feasible option to visit Natural Wonders prevalent throughout the country. One lifetime may not suffice to see all the places in India but that is all one may need to explore the country and key destinations. With destinations comes the food which one can have and some foods aren’t available throughout the country. Some get popular others are worth eating and trying at that particular destination itself. I’ve highlighted this in previous articles on its importance because travel is all about experiences.
