routes from Mumbai to Goa are as follows:-
Take the traditional NH4
route of 599 kms starting from Mumbai that passes through Pune,
Satara, Shirala, Kolhapur, Belgaum and finally concluding at Goa.
Travel time is about 9 hours 44 minutes approximately depending upon
traffic conditions.
The second easy and
straight route will be through Mumbai-Pune Expressway and then taking
the NH4 towards Goa. Covering 606 kms, this route is initially same
as the above but takes a twist in between letting you explore the
hidden beauties of the Sahayadri Ranges and giving a fun ride,
reaching within 10 hours 6 minutes.
The third and the last
route, en-routing Chiplun and Sawantwadi, is through NH17, covering
579 km in 11 hours.
Mumbai to Goa by Train:
Mainly three popular
trains preferred by travelers to reach Goa from Mumbai with traveling
time around 12 hours. They depart mostly from Chhatrapati Shivaji
Terminus, Mumbai to Madgaon, Goa. Daily trains include Konkankanya
Express, Jan Shatabdi Express, Mandovi Express, The other long
distance trains include Lokmanyatilak Kochuveli Express, Mangalore
Express, Kochuveli Garib Rath, Netravati Express and Matsyagandha
Express.
Mumbai to Goa by Air:
Most of the major airlines
provide daily nonstop flights covering Mumbai to Goa in just 1 hour.
This is the most ideal way to reach Goa when you have less holidays
or in an utmost urgency. These include Air India, Jet Airways,
IndiGo, Go Air, Spicejet, Jet Konnect, Kingfisher Red, Kingfisher
Class.
